As part of the Red Shield doorknock appeal launch, the Salvation Army is clearing as much stock as it can at half price. And it has a lot of stock.
Proceeds from Tuesday’s sale will go toward the Red Shield Appeal.
Furniture, electrical, outdoor equipment, barbecues, clothes, bric-a-brac, you name it the Salvos probably have it.
Salvation Army Lieutenant Dominic Wallis said it was the first time the local Salvos had tried a storewide half-price clearance but expected a huge response.
“We thought it was a good way to launch the Red Shield Appeal, which officially happens on the weekend of June 30 and 31, but is taking donations now,” he said.
“We have heaps of stock across every department in all of our stores.
“We are also holding a silent raffle on the day where someone will walk away with a pallet full of various items.”
The sale will begin in the South Nowra store on Tuesday at 9am and run to 4pm and at the Sanctuary Point store from 9am to 3pm.
