Scoring more than 40 points against Port Kembla and Albion-Park Oak Flats in consecutive weeks has the reigning premiers looking like the team many thought they would be this season.
The Jets now travel to Shellharbour in search of their first road win of the season.
Jets star Steve Brandon is happy with the dedication the troops have shown in the past couple of weeks.
“It’s been a really strong couple of weeks for the boys, with back-to-back strong wins,” he said.
“Obviously last weekend against the Eagles was a little harder but the boys stepped up their game accordingly.
“The most pleasing thing is the structures from last season are starting to return.’
The main reason for this is that Brandon, Ryan James and halfback Geoffrey Johnson are all back in the team.
“It’s great having both Ryan and Geoff back in the team,” he said.
“It obviously takes some of the pressure off me and allows me to play my natural game.
“We are all interchangeable and work together well.
“Especially Ryan and I, we know each other’s games quite well and have developed a really strong combination.”
The trip to Shellharbour is a daunting one for the Jets, who haven’t travelled much this season.
“We had the game at Gerringong a couple of weeks ago but the conditions were terrible there,” Brandon said.
“We have been lucky to play a lot at home lately and haven’t had to travel.
“So this is a great chance to take our home form on the road and record win number three.
“All the boys want to keep building on this form and winning streak.”
Brandon praised the work of his forwards and said they will again be key against a big Shellharbour side.
“Sean Lynch and his work rate are irreplaceable,” he said.
“He played close to 80 minutes last week, and there aren’t many forwards in the competition who do that.
“It’s a real luxury having him in our side.
“John Carey is another forward who played strongly last week and is one we rely on each week to perform and lead the pack.”
