The Jets star will make his first representative appearance for the Group 7 side this Saturday in Moss Vale, when they take on Group 6.
“I’m ecstatic to get the call-up,” Brandon said.
“It’s something I have wanted to play for a while.
“Last year was my first season with the Jets and since debuting, I’ve had aspirations of playing representative footy.”
Brandon, 23, said the last 12 months had been amazing, including winning the 2014 Group 7 premiership.
“The last year has been a dream for both me and my team,” he said.
“The boys continually push each other to improve and that is one of the reasons behind our success.”
In Brandon’s first time making the team, he is unsure what to expect in the match.
“I’m excited as to the game itself, having not played in this game before,” he said.
“As it is only my second year, I’m hoping to build on this match and make myself a regular in the team moving forward.
“If I am to do that, I will have to keep improving and take away things from this match and learn from them.
“We have had a number of trainings session at Warilla and you can see the boys that have been there before.
“It was an easy transition into the side, with the boys helpful and welcoming.
“At 23, my best footy is in front of me and this experience will only help that.”
The Group 6 team has former NRL players Bryce Gibbs and Stuart Flanagan in the line-up, which Brandon is looking forward to.
“I played against a couple of former NRL players in an Aboriginal knock-out and loved it,” he said,
“I’m always up for the challenge to test myself.
“Any chance to show up former NRL players I welcome with open arms.”
Brandon will back up for the Jets on Sunday, 24 hours after the match at Moss Vale’s Community Oval.
“I intend to bring the quality form this match back to the Jets,” he said.
“It is a standard of footy that we at the Jets can feed off and help kick start our season."
