Light, white and lush greens were the palette for this bathroom makeover that took inspiration from the clean lines and simple proportions of the chosen bathroom fixtures.
Raymor’s product specialist Gordon Evans says curved finishes in bathroom materials with simple white tiles are the ideal starting point for creating an indoor oasis that draws heavily on the outdoors.
A wall treatment that mimics the lush foliage of a tropical jungle is an eye catching addition that sets the theme of the room. The look is mimicked with ferns and palms placed just outside the French doors. Simple white tiles in a subway pattern run from floor to ceiling with a stone tile with a light grey grain was chosen for the floor.
Another striking feature of the room is the “wet room approach to showering”, Gordon says. An open shower harks to the outdoors with a single shower screen shielding the wash hand basin from splashes. The slender Lavas shower mixer and shower head is an unobtrusive choice.
The secret to this bathroom is to create an impression of space with the absolute minimum of visual clutter.

“Our starting point was the deep, softly rounded freestanding bath teamed with the Daly swivel bath spout in polished chrome,” Gordon says of the design.
“We mirrored the lines of the bath with the wall-hung Byron toilet with in-wall cistern – the secret to this bathroom is to create an impression of space with the absolute minimum of visual clutter,” he says.
Continuing the theme is the wall-hung basin with integrated counter space, “again understated, clean lines with generous proportions”.
“The counter space is large enough to take toiletries comfortably while matching accessories, with a rounded profile, take other accoutrements, such as toothbrushes and toothpaste.”
Gordon says coordinating accessories from the one range ensures a streamlined finish. “There are no visual interruptions to the softly curved profiles of the bathroom fixtures,” he says.
