Passenger Christine Rumble was taken to Canberra Hospital after the accident on Friday afternoon on South Head Road.
Her sister, Tahra Leigh Buckley, said Ms Rumble faced plastic surgery on her eye socket.
“It’s shattered,” Ms Buckley said.
“She has a fractured cheek bone, a fractured chin, a broken nose, three broken ribs, but the doctors can’t operate on her for another five to six weeks.”
Ms Buckley said her sister’s unborn baby remained safe, after fears the accident would induce a miscarriage.
Investigations are continuing into the crash, which involved six people, among them another pregnant woman.
Police want witnesses to contact them.
A police spokesman said a 1996 Holden Commodore and a 1995 Holden States-man collided on South Head Road, 90 metres west of the Maunsell Road intersection, about 2.50pm on Friday.
A 20-year-old man from Moruya was driving one car and a 22-year-old Moruya man was driving the other.
Each car carried two passengers.
Police, Ambulance, Fire and Rescue and State Emergency Ser-vice personnel attended the accident and a police spokesman said a pregnant passenger was freed from one vehicle.
A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said one man had reported cuts to the forehead and another man had a suspected broken ankle.
