Graham Sawbridge was located by search crews around 10.30am on Monday in bushland not far from his Bayview Street home.
He was found in bushland by a searching SES crew about a kilometre from his home.
It is understood he had fallen into a small creek area.
Despite spending the night outside he was reported to be in good physical health.
Emergency services were called to the seaside village on Sunday afternoon after Mr Sawbridge failed to return home after taking a walk at 1pm.
Despite an extensive search he could not be found on Sunday evening, with police from Nowra and Huskisson, including the police dogs squad and PolAir, Federal Police and crews from SES, Rural Fire Service and marine rescue resuming the search early Monday morning.
Military personnel also conducted searches of the nearby HMAS Creswell.
