But that and torrential rain didn’t stop Shoalhaven Hockey completing the round three action.
Hockey and Shoalhaven Netball were the only major sports to go ahead at the weekend, with all the others being cancelled due to ground conditions.
The pick of the action saw the a match-up between the two Kangaroo Valley men’s teams.
In the end the Mountain Men proved too strong for the club mates Valley Men 5-2.
Dave Antiss led the way for the victors with two goals.
In women’s action, Kangaroo Valley scored their first win of the season defeating Shoalhaven Heads 4-nil.
Round four action will continue next weekend, with plenty of tough matches lined up.
St Georges Basin Waves will take on Kangaroo Valley at 12pm, before Allsorts (orange) take on Shoalhaven Heads and All-Sorts (green) play Berry.
In the men’s action, St Georges Basin play All-Sorts, the Valley Men play Burrawang Bunyips before Shoalhaven Heads meet Burrawang Yowies at 7.30pm.
