THERE will be some major interruptions to traffic in our region over the next couple of days.
Maintenance work is scheduled on the Princes Highway at Berry and Foxground this Sunday and Monday night casing changes to traffic conditions.
Work will be carried out to repair the road surface on the Princes Highway at Berry between Albert and Alexandra streets on Sunday, May 3 and at the Princes Highway and Foxground Road intersection on Monday, May 4, weather permitting.
The work is part of the routine maintenance program and is not related to the Foxground and Berry bypass project.
To reduce the impact on motorists, work will take place between 7pm and 2am on both nights.
One lane will be closed at both locations and road users are asked to follow the direction of traffic control, reduced speed limits and signs.
Minor delays may be experienced and the patience of motorists is appreciated while this essential work is carried out.
Up to date information, including any date changes will be displayed on electronic message signs along the road.
Motorists are also reminded Moss Vale Road at Barrengarry Mountain will be closed for road works between 9am and 3pm on Monday and Tuesday, May 4-5.
Moss Vale Road, between Bunkers Hill Road at the base of Barrengarry Mountain and Myra Vale Road, near the Fitzroy Canal and Fitzroy Falls Reservoir, is scheduled for road closures in both directions for work to be undertaken.
Diversions will be in place along the Illawarra Highway and Princes Highway, with motorists advised to allow approximately 60 minutes of additional travel time.
At other times a 40km/h speed limit will be in place at the work site.
