The event will celebrate local efforts to conserve the environment and the role volunteers play in the community.
It is the first time the field day will be hosted by the Bundanon Trust.
NPWS South Coast regional manager Diane Garrood said the event paid tribute to hardworking conservation groups dedicated to the environment.
“The Bundanon Field Day celebrates exciting new developments in environmental science and will feature talks from a variety of experts in natural resource management and conservation,” Ms Garrood said.
“It is a perfect family event offering children’s workshops, artist’s impressions of the Shoalhaven region and information sessions from leading environmental groups including Australian Seabird and Shorebird Rescue, NPWS Threatened Species Unit, Wildlife Rescue, WIRES, Land Care and the Friends of the Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby.
“Volunteers are crucial to achieving real environmental change in our communities and the Bundanon Field Day is a fantastic way to learn about and share in their work.”
The field day is from 9am at 533 Bundanon Road, Illaroo.
It is a free event but you must register.
