There was a special moment for Sanctuary Point residents Norma and Horace Bourke when Horace was awarded life membership of the 53rd Anti-aircraft Battalion – the unit in which he proudly served during World War II.
“Ladies and gentleman, today as president of the St Georges Basin Sub-Branch I have been given that honour to present one of our members with an award – one that been long coming and well deserved,” said St Georges Basin Sub-Branch president and master of ceremonies Jeff Bament.
