THE biggest ever Anzac Day event, hosted by the St Georges Basin Sub-Branch was held at the St Georges Basin memorial on Saturday.
Estimates have the crowd twice if not three times its normal size.
There was a special moment for Sanctuary Point residents Norma and Horace Bourke when Horace was awarded life membership of the 53rd Anti-aircraft Battalion – the unit in which he proudly served during World War II.
