Crowds lined the main street to watch the Anzac Day parade, which featured a large contingent from Kangaroo Valley Public School and other feeder high schools, as well as the Scots College Pipes and Drums band, Kangaroo Valley Scouts and Rural Fire Service, returned servicemen and women and their descendants, to name just a few, as they made their way to the Kangaroo Valley War Memorial.
To mark the importance of the centenary year, special presentations were made from the Kangaroo Valley School Choir, as well as the singing of the three national anthems; Australian, New Zealand and God Save the Queen.
The wreath-laying ceremony provided a time for many in the community to lay a physical token of their appreciation of Australia’s fallen soldiers.
