Road works and maintenance being carried out on all three northern arterial roads in and out of Nowra, is clogging traffic and frustrating drivers.
Peak hour traffic is facing delays of up to 20 minutes, where work is being carried out on Bolong Road. Lane closures are affecting traffic in both directions.
At one point this week, traffic was backed up to Broughton Creek in an easterly direction. The anticipated completion date for this stretch of the road, as reported on the RMS website, is May 29.
The Foxground and Berry bypass project on the Princes Highway is here for the long haul, with commuters facing lengthy delays and access continually restricted to a single lane.
Road widening on Moss Vale Road at the base of Cambewarra Mountain has just been completed. However, a road closure to finalise the work is scheduled for Monday, April 27 and 28.
Reportedly, some residents have been notified they may not be able to leave their properties on those particular days.

The Roads and Maritime Services are reminding motorists Moss Vale Road will be completely closed between Myra Vale Road and Brunkers Hill Road for routine maintenance to be carried out, between 9am and 3pm on Monday, May 20 and Tuesday, May 21.
With school returning for term two on Monday, traffic during peak hour times will no doubt increase, placing even more pressure on an already stretched road system.
