See you all Rodless, Weighmaster.
Meanwhile, it’s a sad time for Culburra Fishing Club anglers this month with the passing of our champion deep sea lady and much loved friend, Maureen Gibson. Maureen fished in almost every competition only missing when on holidays with Ron.
She was deep sea lady champion many times and in 2013 was champion of champion our highest fishing award she also held many club records.
After fishing all day Saturday and Sunday returning to our Culburra Bowling Club weigh in area seeing her walking around with that well known smile, which meant she had a good catch of fish in her esky, and saying ‘what did you catch, how big was it where did you fish’ and ‘Ron never took me where I wanted to go’.
She would always make a bee line straight to her main competitors Margaret and Kerri which was fun to watch.
Maureen passed away on Sunday March 1with husband Ron and daughters Belinda and Michelle by her side.
Gone but never ever forgotten.
