Cambewarra Public School's year 2 children said they had an eggs-travaganza at home and school this week as they designed their best Easter hats.
Glitter, fluffy chickens, chocolate eggs, bunny ears and confetti were just some of the crafty items used.
Year 2 student Laila Hartnett said her straw hat, which resembled an Easter nest, took her a few hours to make.
"My mum bought a whole bunch of different coloured eggs and baby chickens from the craft shop," she said.
Fellow student Lochlan Ashley said he used his millinery skills to make something "a little fancy".
"It's a big, gold, glittery hat with two marshmallow lollipops on top. I used two because it's fancy and I plan to eat one and share the other one with a friend after the parade," he said.
"I made it so everything was even. There are three chickens on one side of the hat and three on the other side.
"I put the streamers on because I thought they looked good and I drew the bunny face with permanent marker."
Shoalhaven Pre-school held a Hopathon fundraiser on Tuesday. Parents enjoyed the hopping contest before the children from the Opal and Emerald groups received their Easter certificates.
Schools and pre-schools across the South Coast will hold their Easter Hat Parades before students break for the holidays.
