The first occurred at 9.45pm on February 23 at a home in Idlewild Avenue.
A 71-year-old man was at home that evening when the teenager allegedly forced his way inside.
He threatened the resident with a knife before fleeing with cash and other property.
At 8.30pm on March 11 a 77-year-old man was at his home on Macleans Point Road when two men forced their way inside.
They allegedly demanded cash before assaulting the man and taking his wallet and credit cards.
The resident suffered serious injuries including a fractured ankle which required surgery.
Inquiries by Shoalhaven police revealed the stolen credit cards were later used to withdraw funds from ATMs.
Warrants were issued for the young man’s arrest and he was caught in Goulburn on Friday evening after allegedly robbing a bottle shop.
He was taken to Goulburn Police Station and charged with special aggravated break and enter with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, five counts of dishonestly obtain property by deception and shoplifting as well as outstanding warrants.
He was refused bail.
