About 10.15pm on Wednesday, a 20-year-old woman was walking back to her accommodation from a club on Jacobs Drive, when she was approached by a group of youths.
It’s alleged a female in the group demanded the woman’s handbag before she punched the woman in the head and head-butted her.
Other members of the group continued to assault her, before she managed to escape and contacted police.
The woman sustained bruising and swelling to her face and torso. She was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene but declined further medical attention.
Detectives would like to speak to three people, two females and a male, who may be able to assist in the investigation.
The first female is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 18-years of age, of a large build, with a blue and red-coloured mohawk-hairstyle.
The second female is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 13-years of age with blonde hair.
The male is only described as being of Caucasian appearance, with black spiky hair.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged to contact Shoalhaven Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
