To support this weekend’s Relay for Life in Nowra the popular bull and cow have gone back to their original colour of purple.
For five years the animals have been catching the eye of passers-by on the Princes Highway.
Through various paint schemes and props the cattle have been used to draw attention to a variety of community and national events.
The man behind the colourful cattle is Turfco logistics manager Scott Parker.
While his artistic qualifications might only extend to the fact that he likes drawing, the former butcher’s work on the Turfco cows has gained a worldwide following.
“I’ve had people tell me they send photos of the cows to friends around the world,” Mr Parker said.
“I’ve even had someone tell me they wanted to make a calendar from images of the cows.”
Turfco is offering the community a chance to submit an idea for the cow display between April 11 and April 25. One idea will be selected. Ideas can be submitted at Facebook.com/ Theturfcocows.
