Police have charged two brothel employees for allegedly assaulting another employee with a hammer before robbing him in Sydney's west.

On Monday at 3.30 am, a 26-year-old man and 44-year-old man allegedly held up their 21-year-old colleague in a brothel on George Street with a hammer and threatened him for half an hour.
They also allegedly robbed him of his money and credit cards.
The 21-year-old went to the police after the incident. He suffered minor injuries including bruises and abrasions which did not require medical attention.
At 1.15 pm on Tuesday, police searched the brothel and found a hammer, CCTV footage and documents at the premises.
Police arrested the 26-year-old man and 44-year-old man during their search.
They were charged and refused bail and will appear before Burwood Local Court on Wednesday.
