After winning the toss and electing to bat against Berry-Shoalhaven Heads, Nowra quickly made their intentions clear.
Opening batsmen Les Ison and Grahame Morris made light work of the Berry attack, making it to 71 before Ison was out leg-before-wicket to Stuart Richardson.
This dismissal didn’t slow Nowra down. If anything it sped up their run rate.
The cherry must have appeared more like a beach ball to Morris, who smashed 105 from 66 before being dismissed.
With the score at 2/163 at this stage, Nowra were well on top but they didn’t take the foot off the accelerator.
Ryan Henry and Garry Smallwood put on a 111 run partnership before Smallwood hauled out for 62 off the bowling of Micah Watson.
Henry pushed on though, totaling 122 from 150 deliveries, which included 12 fours and four sixes.
Nowra ended day one in a supremely dominant position at 8/413.
Peter Richardson was the pick of the Berry bowlers with 3/59, while Lachlan Duggan claimed 2/73.
Nowra Green will now face club-mates Nowra White in the final, who defeated Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemen in the other semi-final.
Nowra White were sent in to bat after Ex-Servo’s won the toss and elected to bowl.
Brad Sutherland (nine), Chris Morris (nine) and Joshua Fernie (five) were all dismissed early, with Michael Mills claiming two wickets.
But with Nowra teetering at 3/34, Phillip Clough started to play his natural game, putting Nowra back on the front foot.
Clough would end up making 71, thanks to six boundaries and a six, and was well supported by Aaron Turner who chipped in 34.
Nowra ended up making 207 in their first innings at Artie Smith Oval.
In response, Ex-Servo’s started strongly through Will Economos and Scott Cusack, who both made it in to double figures.
Nowra rolled through the rest of the Ex-Servo’s line-up, to bowl them out for 99.
With first innings already secured, Nowra White sent their opponents back in to bat for a second time.
Nowra secured the outright win when they dismissed Ex-Servo’s for 70 in their second innings.
