Around 90 guests enjoyed an afternoon tea with the birthday girl on Saturday.
Hazel was born March 1, 1925 in Far Meadow as a Bryce.
She has lived her entire life in the Shoalhaven, excepting a five year stint in Brisbane.
Hazel worked in a number of local businesses, including McConachie’s Bakers which was in Junction Street.
During the war years, she worked in a clothing factory in Egans Lane.
In later years, Hazel worked at Henderson’s Dry Cleaning which was also situated in Egans Lane.
She worked there for 16 years.
Hazel married Cliff Hunter in 1944.
They had three daughters, Carolyn, Suzanne and Jan.
Hazel now has eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
As Cliff was heavily involved in local cricket and rugby, Hazel too was involved in the sports clubs.
