The new look branding, unveiled at Hanging Rock, was centred around a Shoalhaven signature.
The rebranding comes with a financial incentive to encourage the community and local businesses to jump on board the brand Shoalhaven train.
Until April 17, $10,000 is available to help ideas from the community bring the brand to life.
Over the past 12 months the city brand team has worked with community groups, residents and visitors to come up with branding that reflects the area.
Shoalhaven City Council will now replace the area’s 160 entry signs and updating town and village entry billboards, websites and social media.
At the launch Lynn Locke said it was inspired by thoughts, feelings and impressions people have of the Shoalhaven.
She said the branding went hand in hand with people taking pride in the Shoalhaven.
“This is not a council owned thing, not a business owned thing, it’s owned by the community and that says it all,” she said.
“I hope the community grasp this and run with it. We have a great, unspoilt place to live here,” she said.
