Three Open Mornings are available to prospective parents: Wednesday, February 25; Tuesday, May 26 and Wednesday, August 12, all from 9am to 12 noon, but visitors are advised to arrive by 8.45am. Further tours are run on Thursday and Friday mornings and individual tours are available.

The twilight fair is a good opportunity for prospective parents and their children to get a feeling for the school community. The next step would be to attend an Open Morning and finally an individual tour.

Principal Christine Jenkins says: "The best time to see the school is when it's full of girls and everything is in action. People can get a good idea of what it's like. They can walk into any classroom, engage with the students, and see what the teachers are doing. Coming to a set of empty buildings is not authentic."

The Open Mornings offer an extensive amount of information that is repeated at regular intervals to ensure nobody misses information vital to them.

The Principal's Address begins proceedings before other senior staff speak on: Pathways to VCE, Information Technology, Junior School and ELC, Step up to Seven Transitioning to Middle School, Music, the LOTE program, Sport and Physical Education, Scholarships, and Performing Arts. Tours to the Junior School are at 10am and 11am, and are taken by the Early Learning coordinator and head of junior school. Tours to the Middle and Senior Schools run every 30 minutes and are conducted by Year 11 ambassadors and Middle School captains.

During the tours "all doors are open and no tests are running, so people are welcome to enter," says Ms Jenkins. "This is a big decision for parents and they want to find out about the facilities, class sizes, subject options and particularly they're interested in co-curricular activities and the values that the school lives by. They also want to find out about the sport, music, drama programs we offer."

Korowa offers a strong LOTE program of Chinese, French, German and Japanese, with students learning either French or German from Prep until the end of Year 8. Year 7 students study both an Asian and a European language. The LOTE program is complemented with an International Mindedness outlook with the aim of preparing students to operate successfully in the global community.

Ms Jenkins says the school would like prospective parents to understand the breadth of opportunities that are available for the girls and that the Early Learning centre for boys and girls is a place where children flourish.

"We are striving to ensure that students are confident, happy and engaged with the school. That they're involved in everything we have to offer because that's when they get the best out of coming to a school like this."
