Police charged a man over a domestic-related assault in Nowra on the weekend.

About 12.30pm on Saturday, a man and woman had an argument on Kalandar Street, East Nowra.
The man, aged 20, allegedly assaulted the woman and pushed her into a street sign pole.
The woman, aged 21, had bruising to her ribs, back and wrist.
Nowra Police were later alerted to the incident and following investigations, arrested the man at 3.30pm on Sunday.
The man was taken to Nowra Police Station and was charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was refused bail to appear before Nowra Local Court on Monday.
