A SPATE of thefts from homes over the weekend has prompted a reminder from police about securing property.

Some garden tools were taken from a carport in Cambewarra Road, Beaumont sometime between early evening and midnight on Friday; a home in Sunset Strip, Manyana had some property stolen on Friday which was later recovered on Saturday; personal items and cash were stolen from a Tindall Place, North Nowra home on Friday afternoon; a mountain bike was taken from the back yard of a Yallara Crescent, Sanctuary Point home on Saturday evening and a red double kayak, a green single kayak, a towing trolley and paddles were stolen from under a cabin in Wrights Beach Road, Erowal Bay sometime during the last month.
Police are investigating the above crimes and have advised residents to secure their handbags and wallets while they are shopping; not to leave money or valuable items in unattended vehicles; lock car doors and windows; secure your home at all times and lock windows, doors and garages at all times.
