Winning the toss and sending the home side in, Basin got off to a good start taking two early wickets to have Nowra 2/13 early in their innings.
Despite the poor start, Nick Goodger got the home side’s innings back on track, cracking one boundary and six maximums in a run-a-ball 76.
However Goodger lacked any strong support from the Nowa batsmen as they made their way to 150 before being bowled out in the 34th over.
Thomas Dolby was the best of the bowlers with 3/10, while Mark Dhu also picked up three wickets.
In reply, Basin struggled against the strong Nowra attack, slumping to 4/9 early in their run chase.
John King tore through with the new ball, taking 5/5 from seven overs, while Rhys Fagerlund picked up 3/15 from seven.
At 8/18, Basin looked like being bowled out very cheaply, before the lower order mounted a comeback to boost the visitors total to 9/69 at the end of their innings.
Michael Dolby finished 21 not out to top score for Basin, while Dave Rickwood (12) and Mark Dhu (12) chipped in.
Berry-Shoalhaven Heads have come out on top in their round eight match against Norths at Berry Sporting Complex on Saturday.
Despite losing the toss, Berry batted first and posted a good first innings total of 7/178 from their 40 overs.
Jarrad Mitchell hit one boundary in 36 at the top of the order, while Daniel Troy hit two fours and a six to remain unbeaten on 60.
Alan Muggleton bowled his eight overs and finished with 2/16 to be the pick of the bowlers for Norths, while Bryce Byrne picked up 2/31.
In reply, Norths made a strong start to the run chase with Muggleton backing up his bowling performance to hit two boundaries in 35.
Paul Davidson (17) also chipped in at the top of the order as Norths made a strong start to the innings.
However the Berry bowlers managed to keep the wicket column ticking over with the Norths batsman making starts but struggling to go on and chase the target successfully.
Norths were bowled out for 135 in the final over, 43 runs short of the Berry target.
