The 12 members of the group collected various items for the Hub over a seven-week period.
Leader Wombat Julie McQuarters heard about the hub and its work shortly after it was launched in early November and enlisted the group’s members to collect items to donate to the service.
“We just thought we could do something for the hub and to help the people who access the service,” she said.
On Friday the group presented a number of boxes, packed with food, toiletry items and other necessities.
Hub co-ordinator Julie Bugden was grateful for the donation, saying it would be distributed to clients and families the service is working with.
“With Christmas approaching this type of support could not have come at a better time,” she said
