Around 10.40pm on Friday evening two cars were involved in a crash on the Princes Highway near Ison Lane.
A blue Nissan four-wheel-drive travelling south hit two horses standing in the southbound lane.
A black Nissan travelling behind the first vehicle then hit a third horse also standing in the southbound lane.
The 50-year-old driver of the first car, his 16-year-old passenger from Berry and the 50-year-old driver of the second car and his 42-year-old passenger from Sydney were taken to Shoalhaven Hospital with minor injuries.
Two of the horses died at the scene and the third was euthanised.
