Some exciting performances from last weekend’s SDCA junior competition included an unbeaten 72 by North Nowra-Cambewarra Maroons under 12s batsman Troy Sweet.
Sweet hit nine boundaries in a rare under 12’s half-century to lead his side to 7/216 at stumps on day one.
In under 16s, Ulladulla United batsman Matthew Gilkes hit an unbeaten century against Bay and Basin while Norths batsman Kaleb Phillips remained not out on 91 in their match against Nowra.
With the ball, Ulladulla United Golds under 12s bowler Jake Town was the standout, capturing 5/10 from seven overs against Bomaderry.
There were also plenty of highlights in round five of SDCA senior cricket this weekend with some big scores made and some quality bowling performances.
