Smoke around the Bay and Basin area has resulted in a high number of incidents being reported to Triple-0.
There is only one fire currently underway, at Tallyann Pt Road in Basin View.
The Rural Fire Service has dispatched aircraft and fire crews to the blaze.
An RFS spokesman advised that no houses are under threat and provided no winds come up, it will not cause any problems for residents.
Fire conditions for the region today are very high.
The Rural Fire Service advises residents to follow their bush fire survival plan and remain vigilant.
No fires may be lit in the open and all fire permits are suspended during a total fire ban.
Gas and electric barbecues may be used provided certain conditions are met.
