The Bureau of Meteorology is expecting a top of 32 degrees in Brisbane with areas west of the city, as would be expected, heating up even more.
Gatton is expecting a top of 38, with 37 expected at Ipswich.
At 11am, Amberley and Gatton had already reached 35 degrees.
Brisbane city was 31.5 degrees at 10am, the Bureau said.
