In a matter involving Judith Potter, Quincolli Pty Ltd (the Well Done Call centre) and the Fair Work Ombudsman, the judgment stated $20,762 is to be distributed to employees who had been underpaid.
The number of employees affected was 33.
United Services Union organiser Rudi Oppitz was pleased with the judgment and encouraged those owed money to make contact.
“We hope this will be the first instalment these employees will receive since it was determined that employees had been underpaid to the tune of close to $194,000 back in November 2011.”
The union is concerned about the time that has passed since action commenced against Quincolli and Mrs Potter, saying details of the whereabouts of the 33 employees might have changed.
The union encouraged employees who had been underpaid to make contact via email with Mr Oppitz at roppitz@usu.org.au or the Fair Work Commission at Darren.Lang@fwo.gov.au.
“To ensure they get paid some of the money they are entitled to, those employees should make contact as soon as possible.
“The union is pleased this is the first payment made since this all started, and we know the liquidator is making every effort to pursue further money for these employees,” Mr Oppitz said.
