Saturday will feature classes for members of Shoalhaven Dressage club and junior riders.
The St Georges Basin IGA Members Championships is a feature event on the calendar for all local dressage riders.
Sunday’s Bishops South Nowra Open Regional Championships will feature events up to Grand Prix and is expected to attract top riders from throughout the State.
2014 NSW State Medium and Advanced Champion and local rider Alycia Targa will be competing on both days and is excited to be representing her local area in such a prestigious event.
“I love competing at major dressage events, but most of these are in Sydney,” she said.
“To be competing in front of a home crowd in such a major competition will be exciting.”
The Regional Championships are supported by Dressage NSW and Shoalhaven City Council.
Shoalhaven Dressage Club President Cathy Chittenden said they were small but dedicated committee who have been working hard to prepare such a high class dressage event.
“We really appreciate the support Shoalhaven City Council and Dressage NSW have shown us in bringing these Championships to Nowra,” she said.
