THE Tuross Head Fishing Club held its monthly competition on the weekend and with near perfect weather a good mix of lake and estuary, rock and beach and outside fish were weighed in.

The Tuross Head anglers were looking for flathead for the club’s goblet prize and Perry Franke won with a 1.65kg catch from Tuross River.
Sam Sheather took out the ladies’ biggest outside prize with her 1.25kg morwong.
Marty Sheather won the men’s biggest outside prize with a personal best snapper weighing 1.59kg.
Rod Federer proved anglers could catch big fish in the lake and estuary division by taking out the men’s prize with a whopping 9.48kg mulloway.
Tamara Whitehead won the women’s lake and estuary division with a 875-gram trevally.
Merv Roberts went home with the men’s rock and beach prize with a 540-gram blackfish.
Junior Alex Kennedy won his division with a 440-gram blackfish.
The club’s next monthly competition will take place on November 8 and 9.
Members will be chasing leatherjacket for the goblet and the weigh-in will be held downstairs at the Tuross Head Country Club at 4pm on the Sunday, followed by a barbecue and raffle.
The club welcomes new members.
