In what is believed to be the first official sighting of drop bears on the South Coast Bangalee resident Craig Hadfield snapped a quick photo of the elusive creatures on Wednesday.
World wide web research suggests the rare creatures are not normally found outside closed forests of the Great Dividing Range.

Officials remain tight lipped on whether this was an isolated incident but did not discount the impact of global warming on the animals’ distribution.
