Bomaderry is one of five lucky NSW towns to win a place to compete in the NSW challenge.
The town which has the most participants registered and has the greatest overall weight loss will be crowned the state winner.
To be in the running to win, the town needs more people to register by phoning the Get Healthy Information and Coaching Service on 1300 806 258 and sign up to six months of free health coaching.
Organiser Kim Thompson said the five people chosen would be the face of the Bomaderry Challenge.
“To help us win, we are searching for five Bomaderry residents to help promote the challenge over the next six months.
“We will be following their journey and progress with the Get Healthy Service.”
If you would like to help lead your town in this challenge contact Kim Thompson at bomaderrychallenge@yahoo.com.au or phone 4423 6389 (Monday- Wednesday) or 4455 5366 (Thursday-Friday).
To help participants get active during the course of the challenge, free Zumba classes will run at Bomaderry Oval for four weeks starting on Friday, October 31 at 11am.
The first 50 people who turn up and sign up for the Get Healthy Service will receive a free pedometer to help inspire and motivate them throughout the challenge.
