Jade will be joined by the cast of the upcoming Albatross Musical Theatre Company’s Wizard of Oz, while the Luminous light display and an exhibition of photographs from Australia’s Oyster Coast will be on display.
Twenty-three-year-old Jade is from Adelaide and performed at weddings, corporate functions and in musical theatre before competing on The Voice.
She recently released her debut single Ghost and is working on an EP.
Saturday’s festival activities begin with a street parade through Nowra at 11am.
The River Festival Entertainment Stage lights up from 2pm with children’s entertainment featuring the LA LAs, Tap Star and Dripette, home-grown dance stars plus a performance from the Wizard of Oz cast.
Later in the afternoon the riverside will be rocked by Johnny Rollins, Kat Jade, the winner of Shoalhaven Unearthed Daniel Lucas and local rock and roots star, Genevieve Chadwick.
Rollins began his career as a drummer with Sons Of The Sun, before forming CarterRollins and soon became an accomplished percussionist on the domestic circuit and international stage.
It was only last year Rollins found his voice as a soul artist, with his musical inspiration coming from John Legend, Lenny Kravitz and Frank Ocean.
The fireworks, which drew huge crowds last year, will be even more spectacular as they will be set off from pontoons on the river. Be sure to get your spot early for the 9pm start.
On Sunday the Marine Expo, colourful Dragonboat Regatta, paddleboard endurance race, rowing sprints and Duck Dash will be held.
