A Sydney woman who believes a house is "not just a house" but a place of "spiritual comfort"and works to give indigenous communities just that, has won a scholarship to attend one of the world's leading graduate business schools.

Stacey Broadbent is among nine women to receive scholarships, to be handed out on Monday, by Chief Executive Women (CEW), an organisation representing women who have reached senior levels in business, academia and the not-for-profit and public sectors.
Ms Broadbent, who works for the NSW government's Registrar of Community Housing, has devoted her working life to ensuring Aboriginal communities have sustainable housing.
The scholarship has allowed her to attend a short course at the business school INSEAD in Singapore.
Ms Broadbent says a belief that "everything starts in the home" drives her work.
"I'm a big believer that a house is not just a house, but a home – it's where your soul is and it's where you always go back to," she said.
"That's why I'm so passionate about housing for Aboriginal people. I want our children to be able to grow up and say they'll always have a home to go to.
Eight others will be awarded scholarships, recognising their work in areas such as energy, finance and indigenous rights advocacy.
The two scholarships given to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women were awarded in partnership with the Roberta Sykes Foundation, which encourages and supports indigenous people to study in Australia and overseas.
CEW has given out 16 awards worth more than $250,000 in its 2014 scholarship program.
