Business owners, staff and people with a passion to see colour and fun in the CBD have been putting their own touch on the town.
As part of Riverlution, a popular addition in Junction Street is hopscotch.
Marina Strode, who works at Comfort Shoes in Nowra, saw the Riverlution Facebook page and decided to join the fun.
“I think Riverlution is a great idea. It would be wonderful if everybody took a part of town and did something with it,” she said.
“People love the hopscotch. When I first put it on the path two women jumped on it straight away.”
Ms Strode has also created a vertical garden which she hangs on the garbage bin in front of the shop each day.
“I’m trying to put some green in the CBD. I found a small pallet in a bin and did a bit of community pruning in gardens around the place to fill out the planter.”
Riverlutionaries are hoping to see lots of colour in the town for the Shoalhaven River Festival on October 25 and 26.
Shoalhaven City Council has $55,000 to help facilitate Nowra Alive and other ideas including Riverlution to add a splash of colour and movement to the town.
