IT’S embarrassing to think that this only happens in the Shoalhaven, when an outdoor caravan and camping show is held and attended by 7000 people over a three-day period that our local caravan dealers deliberately boycott the event. Their actions say more about them then their grievances.

Can you imagine this happening at Batemans Bay in a couple of weeks’ time?
The local dealers in this case have proved to be an enormous embarrassment to the Shoalhaven area. They have allowed greed to override their better judgment and in doing so have brought shame not only to the industry but also to the entire Shoalhaven area, making it harder for those trying to promote and attract new business.
It is equally as hard to accept that those same dealers that boycotted our local Shoalhaven show will be towing their vans to Batemans Bay in a couple of weeks’ time to ensure Batemans Bay has the success that the Shoalhaven missed out on .
And then they will do the same at thing next year at the Canberra Caravan Show then onto Penrith and Sydney.
Maybe it is time for the locals to step in and say enough is enough. If you don't support us, why should we support you?
