As part of this year’s Shoalhaven River Festival 10,000 blue rubber ducks will form a duck dash with prizes to the value of $25,000.
Organiser Raj Ray, owner of the Silos Estate, said prizes included bank accounts, travel vouchers and even a car.
“Profits from the Duck Dash at the Shoalhaven River Festival will be donated to the Shoalhaven Education Fund, which supports youth getting university or TAFE or vocational training,” Mr Ray said.
Individuals and businesses can buy ducks from $8 each.
Other deals include $70 for 10 ducks and $600 for an entire flock of 100 ducks.
Mr Ray said support from the local community had been fantastic.
“Kinghorn Ford is donating a car for first prize, and Bendigo Bank and My Travel Expert are donating $500 accounts and $500 travel vouchers for second through to fifth prizes.
“Even Prime Minister Tony Abbott and Premier Mike Baird said they would sponsor some ducks.”
