A NOWRA man who pleaded guilty to four shoplifting charges is spending four months behind bars.

Jake Gerald Platt, 20, of Anderson Avenue, was on bail for shoplifting when police saw him carrying a plastic bag from Blooms Chemist at 1.50pm on September 19 at the intersection of Junction and Kinghorne streets.
At the time, Platt’s bail conditions meant he was not to go inside any Junction Street business.
Police asked him what was in the bag and he said it was “stuff from home”.
They searched it and found two cordless speakers with DeanSwift price stickers and a cordless drill.
Platt was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station.
Further checks showed the goods were stolen, the drill from Mitre 10.
In Nowra Local Court, Platt also pleaded guilty to taking $600 worth of shirts from Stanley Johns Menswear on September 18 and an X-Box dual charger from EB Games in Stockland on August 25.
He also pleaded guilty to possessing jewellery police suspect was stolen from Kmart.
