THE southbound lane of Kinghorne Street in Nowra between Worrigee and Plunkett streets will be closed for most of Thursday.

Two large cranes are in place in the southbound lanes just south of the South Coast Register building, lifting large concrete walls into place at the $8.5 million Quest serviced apartments project.

The former Nowra Mazda car yard on the corner of Kinghorne and Plunkett streets is being transformed into a four-storey block of 44 serviced apartments.

The northbound lane of Kinghorne Street remains open to traffic, but southbound motorists will have diversions around the area.
