It’s an all ages and categories family event with a focus on women - so if you know any ladies, of any age or fitness level, who are interested in having a go at mountain bike racing encourage them to come along and join in the fun.
This will also be a pink ribbon Cancer Council fund raising event raising money for cancer research.
The ‘Pink Wheel’ race will be held at Coondoo.
The track is rated intermediate with 'B' lines around difficult sections and is about six kilometres in length.
Race participants can choose to do from one to five laps depending upon the category that they enter.
There is also a ‘mud flickers’ event and this race is for children who are too young to complete the full course on their bike.
Results are usually available on the day and can be viewed at www.scum.asn.au.
Different classes allow racers to select an event suitable for their age and fitness level and everyone enjoys the relaxed and casual atmosphere at the South Coast United Mountain Bikers race days.
All categories of riders are catered for and or the year’s timetable and more details see the SCUMS website www.scum.asn.au or email info@scum.asn.au.
