Senior Constable Peter Richardson was in Sydney to attend a wedding when he suffered a suspected heart attack.
Past and present police paid tribute to the man known simply as “Richo”, who was a larger than life character, describing him as “a pleasure to work with”.
Snr Const Richardson had spent many years in the Shoalhaven, working with general duties car crews, as a shift supervisor, exhibits officer and handling rosters.
He was aged 45.
Details of Senior Constable Richardson’s funeral are yet to be finalised.
