A man entered the Mobile Service Station about 2.30am Monday allegedly armed with a knife.
The service station employee hit the man with a metal pole. The offender fled.
Shoalhaven police are searching for a man about 40 years old. At the time he was wearing a blue hooded jumper, dark blue pants and light tan boots.
