THERE was no joy for the Bomaderry in the battle of the Tigers with Northern Districts at Artie Smith Oval on Saturday.

The home side made a strong start with three goals in the first quarter, but it soon went quiet in what turned out to be a low-scoring game.

A goalless second quarter cost Bomaderry and allowed Norths to fight back and take a 28-25 lead into the half time break.

The visitors ran away with it in the second half to claim a 73-41 victory.

Mat Ganderton kicked two goals for the home side, while Jared Wilson led the way with three majors for the visitors.

In other fixtures the top of the table Kiama Power proved far too strong for the improving Shellharbour Suns at Bonaira Oval.

Ricky Neels kicked five goals for the home side as they powered to a convincing 130-47 win.

Over at West Street Oval, fellow heavyweights Wollongong had little trouble disposing of the struggling Nowra Blues.

Jayden Cook was the lone goal-kicker for the Blues, who were comprehensively beaten 117-11.

Albatross’ tough season continued, with the Demons having to forfeit their clash against the Port Kembla Blacks at Kully Bay Oval.
