BIG WIN: Ben Harding and Pat Brown after defeating John Tilt and Ted Sorenson in the semi-final of the men’s minor pairs.

TWO semi-final games of the men’s minor pairs championship were played at Callala Bowling Club over the weekend in cool and sunny conditions.

The first game, father and son combo of Gary and Bryan Green, played Howard Duncan and Phill Bowerman.

The game started fairly evenly with the score 7-all on the sixth end.

Phill and Howard won the next six ends to lead by nine shots.

Gary and Bryan made a comeback but not enough to win, Phill and Howard go into the final, winning the game 29 – 13.

The second game was between the team of Ted Sorenson and John Tilt and two new players, Pat Brown and Ben Harding.

The young guns were too good for the old guns, Pat and Ben taking the match 38 – 13.

Next weekend’s final should be a very exciting game.
