Players compete to be champion of champions

ON Sunday, July 20 a group of junior Shoalhaven tennis players travelled to Wollongong to compete in the JWS.  

James Phillips won the 11 years boys, Sophie Phillips won the 13 years girls, Patrick Muller was runner-up in the 13 years boys and Justin Pritchard was runner-up in the 17 years boys.  

Others who performed well were Boyd Schreiber, Christian Muller, Tom Fletcher, Harrison Graham and India Schreiber.

Sunday, July 27 was the last JDS for the season, held at Ulladulla.

Keen junior tennis players competed to try and secure their place in the champion of champions.  

Boyd Schreiber won the nine years boys, Tom Fletcher was runner-up in the nine years boys, India Schreiber won the 13 years girls and Justin Pritchard won the 17 years boys.  

Christian Muller, Ryan Balfour, Patrick Muller, Adrian Arcon, Harrison Graham and Jimmy O'Connor all played well.

All ANZ Hot Shots tennis players with the Pritchard Tennis Academy are encouraged to participate in the weekly round-robin competition held on Tuesdays.

Red group plays from 4.30pm to 5pm and orange and green groups play from 4.30pm to 5.30pm.  

Cost is $4 each week.  

This is a lead-in for the junior Friday night competition.
