A SELF-CONFESSED drug user says opening Junction Court to traffic was the best thing that could have happened to the area.

The man, who would not give his name, said the new slow traffic flow worked in favour of the local drug trade.
“It’s much better now. We can phone a supplier and wait until they drive slowly through. We go up to their car, say hi, reach in and shake hands while making the drug and money exchange at the same time.
“The [CCTV] cameras can’t see it because it’s inside the car and it’s all over and done with quicker.
“Before this I had to phone a supplier and then wait around in Junction Court until he found a car park.
“All that’s gone now. It’s quick and easy,” he said.
